CLASSES

ALL CLASSES are based on the American Heart Association curriculum.  Our instructors are among the best and most highly trained network of safety professionals, with degrees and certifications spanning the entire spectrum of Health and Safety.


Adult CPR will prepare you to provide care for victims ages 8 and up, who may experience breathing emergencies or sudden cardiac arrest. You will also be instructed on how and when to use the emergency medical service (EMS), as well as how to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. This 3-4 hour course offers a certificate valid for 2 years.

Infant/Child CPR  trains you in cardiac and breathing emergency care for infants and children through the age of 8. Learn how to properly identify breathing and cardiac emergencies and how to administer the appropriate CPR measures. Infant/Child CPR is the ideal course for anyone who is in frequent contact with infants and small children. Completion of this 3 hour course earns you a certificate valid for 2 years.

Community/Group CPR Training  is geared toward offices and large groups interested in bringing CPR on site. This course introduces CPR and rescue breathing emergency skills, and offers information about the American Heart Association adult Chain of Survival and signs of heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke and choking in adults. The course also presents information on the American Heart  Association pediatric infant and child Chain of Survival, signs of choking in infants and children, how to reduce risk of sudden infant syndrome and first aid for the most common fatal injuries in infants and children. This 2- 4 hour course can be conducted at our site or your office and is intended for 4-10 participants. No Certification Cards will be issued.

CPR for the Health Care Professional Advanced level of CPR training for Health care providers.  In addition to an overview of body systems and medical/legal issues, you will learn to recognize and provide care in respiratory and cardiac emergencies for adults, children and infants, with special emphasis on two-rescuer CPR use of the resuscitation mask, bag-valve mask and Automated External Defibrillator. Techniques for minimizing the risk of disease transmission and for special resuscitation situations are included. This course is especially recommended for medical professionals, lifeguards, aerobics/fitness/sports instructors and public and private safety/ security employees. This  3-4 hour course offers you a certificate valid for 2 years.

Standard First Aid & CPR teaches the latest in emergency cardiac care. You will also receive training in emergencies skills, Adult CPR, first aid for injuries and sudden illnesses. Participants in this 6-7 hour course receive a certificate for Adult CPR and Standard First Aid (valid for 2 years).           

ACLS Innovative New ACLS Course Now Available! The totally redesigned AHA ACLS is for healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the resuscitation of a patient. ACLS emphasizes the importance of basic life support CPR to patient survival; the integration of effective BLS with ACLS interventions; and the importance of effective team interaction and communication during resuscitation. This 13-14 hour course offers you a certificate.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support Course -- PALS
The goal of the Pediatric Advanced Life Support Course is to provide the learner with information and strategies needed to recognize and prevent cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children. This is a 14 hour certification course and is offered over 2 days.

CPR for Pets (Dogs and Cats) Would you know what to do if your dog or cat needs your help! Your pet depends on you for his or her well-being. In addition to providing daily care, love and affection, your best friend depends on you in an emergency. Whether your pet becomes ill or injured, or needs help in a disaster, we can help. This is a full 3 hour Pet First Aid class. NO animals, please.
